When students encounter crises (or when they are the crisis) we have to do more than send them to some psychological boot camp.  We need to understand the trends in teenagers’ crisis; discover ways to understand and be more compassionate to these hurts, disappointments, and choices and know resources to help ourselves and the student cope.  We also need to know ways to help parents, youth leaders, and student’s friends accept the situation and assist in the healing.
